Burwell Jones (born March 23, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan) was an American swimmer, competing in the backstroke and the freestyle events.

Gora competed for his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. At the 1951 Pan American Games he won the bronze medal in the men's 100 m backstroke, and the gold medal in the men's 4×200 m freestyle relay event, alongside Dick Cleveland, Ronald Gora and William Heusner.
